From the training, it was apparent that you can read and theoretically learn the steps to IVF, but to handle the bovine biological material is another aspect altogether. There are techniques that can only be learnt through the direct handling and understanding of the fluidics of an oocyte and embryo, and how it interacts with various media and viscosities.

Introduction to aseptic techniques, and the in vitro embryo production system (IVEP) system
Observing the zygote quality and start of in vitro culture (IVC)
Overview of cryopreservation of embryos
Vitrification and warming of embryo
